The Daily Echo:How old are you? Jan 29, 2015 from Dr. Eric Lane on Vimeo.
While reading some definitions for the word “old” today I came across the words “used up” and “worn out”. We tend to define how much worth is left in us by our age. For some crazy reason we begin to believe as we approach the retirement age of 65 we are “used up” and “worn out”. Nothing could be further from the truth. I believe that we are only beginning to hit our stride at that age. I heard Zig Ziglar say at I believe age 71 he felt like he was within 10 years of hitting his prime. Don’t cut yourself short by assuming just because another person your age is “old” it defines you. You are only as old as you allow yourself to be. We have so much wisdom and knowledge from those that are considered “old” by our standards. Let’s start to not only tap into that wisdom and knowledge but hopefully they will realize the greatness still left within them.
