When I think of Marcus I reflect on one of my favorite quotes from Calvin Coolidge.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
As we celebrate Marcus today on his Birthday this August 9th my heart is full of gratitude. Being the oldest is not an easy task. Your entire life you are looked upon for everything you do. Naturally younger brothers and sisters watch and learn from their big brother/sister. Marcus has been the perfect mentor and example for not only his brothers an sisters but his Dad. How much I love this man who always thinks of others first. I am not sure I have ever heard a negative comment about Marcus. Those who know him know he will always give of himself. His work ethic and PERSISTENCE is an example to me. Happy Birthday… You know how much I love and admire you.
