The Daily Echo: Meek and Lowly of Heart…. October 26, 2018

October 26, 2018

The attribute of Meekness is not talked about too much. What does it mean to be MEEK? Why is it important and why is it a rare thing? On today’s echo I share a great clip from a talk by Elder Bednar on meekness. See if you know what it means to be meek?

In the April 2018 Semi-annual General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elder David A. Bednar gave a powerful talk about meekness. Elder Bednar is an apostle of Jesus Christ in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the restored Church of Jesus Christ (otherwise known as the Mormon Church or the LDS Church).

Elder Bednar says that meekness is an essential aspect of the divine nature. It can be received and developed because of and through the atonement of Jesus Christ, our Savior. He says, “Meekness is a defining attribute of the Redeemer and is distinguished by righteous responsiveness, willing submissiveness, and strong self-restraint.”
