The Daily Echo: Inside the Stena Danica Goteborg to Denmark: February 25, 2023

Here we are aboard the Stena Danica as we depart Gothenburg Sweden bound for Frederikshavn in Denmark. This walk about tour takes us around the ships’ interior decks to view her facilities Stena Danica has a considerable amount of interior space spread over three Decks; 7, 8 & 9. On Deck 7 there is the large bar with stage, dance floor, comfortable seating and casino with gaming machines and a roulette table. From the bar there are good views through the windows at the forward end and port side. Live entertainment is provided at certain times of the year. Walking aft we come to the children’s playroom – an exceptional space with a soft play area and gaming machines. Aft of that is the huge foyer where the foot passenger embarkation gates are for the Ports of Gothenburg and Frederikshavn. Again walking aft there is a TV lounge with reclining seats and information desk on the port side and a conference room and Stena Plus lounge to starboard. The later offers a comfortable environment and complimentary drinks and snacks, including beer, at a supplement. At the stern of Deck 7 is the huge shopping centre – a real Aladdin’s Cave of fragrances, gifts, souvenirs and wine. Up on Deck 8 is the restaurant and cafeteria at the forward end, a long corridor with window lined seating to port and the warehouse style ‘beer shop’ at the aft end – cases of beer in large cages. On Deck 9 above is The Reef – a conservatory style tropical paradise and large exterior deck areas.
