Every time I watch the short clip attached today I am amazed at the way this girl finished the race. Life is likened to a race many times. Each of us has and will fall and fall again. We often hear that we must get up each time we fall. But just getting up won’t cut it. This girl could have just gotten up, but she did much more than that. She got up and had to run faster and harder than she had ever done to WIN. Think about that the next time you fall. Do you get up and tell everyone about how you fell and now you got up? Do you want that proverbial pat on the back for just getting up? It is much more than that. You have to get up and then make up for the lost time. You have to work much harder than before you fell. When we watch a race like this we can gain new perspective on what it means to win after falling down. Stop making excuses, stop blaming others, and stop just getting up…. Get up and make up for lost time. Each of us has that ability within us to go further and faster than we ever have……Begin today.
